Use the @bijection/connectors/youtube-analytics entrypoint to declare YouTube Analytics resources.

Availability

This page describes the pinned source package. Published availability is unestablished for this artifact. Source build and package availability.

Resources and modes

Declare a resource in application code, then bind deployment-specific settings and credentials. See typed resources, connections and source inspection.

Channel daily totals

daily: Daily channel metrics in 30-day requests

The following example matches configuration standard.

Configuration: standard

Case: youtube-analytics/channel/daily/standard. Connection and resource configuration are declared by this exact case. Credential kind: youtube-analytics. Keep credential material in the private credential inventory.
Native admission analysis is available for this exact declaration. Collection: channel
Recorded checks Hosted qualification: unestablished for this catalog configuration. Installed connections report their own identity, authority and current status.

Bulk channel report files (YouTube Reporting API)

bulk: Daily CSV report files of one reporting job, the newest backfill of each day

The following example matches configuration basic.

Configuration: basic

Case: youtube-analytics/reports/bulk/basic. Connection and resource configuration are declared by this exact case. Credential kind: youtube-analytics. Keep credential material in the private credential inventory.
Native admission analysis is available for this exact declaration. Collection: reports
Recorded checks Hosted qualification: unestablished for this catalog configuration. Installed connections report their own identity, authority and current status.

Provider guidance

Compiled declaration examples and configuration details are published in the connector reference. Daily channel totals from YouTube Analytics API v2 GET /v2/reports?ids=channel==<id>&dimensions=day over 30-day requests, read as restated report observations. YouTube answers positional rows; the reader checks columnHeaders against the request before reading a value. Only integer metrics are offered and each is exact; fractional metrics (view percentage, revenue) are not published. YouTube states no restatement bound for this API, so restatementDays defaults to seven days, a recipe choice, and settled is that window’s basis. reports.bulk reads the YouTube Reporting API’s daily CSV files for one reporting job, which the owner creates once per report type (jobs.create; YouTube then generates a file per Pacific day and 30 days of history) and binds as jobId. Each pass reads the job (GET /v1/jobs/{jobId}, which must be of the declared reportType: channel_basic_a3, channel_combined_a3, channel_playback_location_a3, channel_traffic_source_a3 or channel_device_os_a3) and lists its reports. The history from start is caught up in windows of 31 days by startTime; after that each pass lists the reports createdAfter the newest one already listed, so a backfill YouTube issues for any day (the same startTime and endTime, a newer createTime) is read when it appears. Of the reports one listing names for a day only the newest is read. Each file is read whole, 128 rows a read, keyed by (channel, day, the report’s other dimensions); the YYYYMMDD day is published as YYYY-MM-DD and every metric (counts and minutes; averages and rates are not offered) is exact decimal text. A backfill replaces the rows it carries; a row it no longer carries keeps its last values. YouTube states no restatement bound, so settled is true for a day at least restatementDays (default 30, a recipe choice) old when read. Limits: a listing stating a next page, or naming more than 32 days (a mass backfill), fails the pass rather than read part of it; a file beyond 1,024 rows or the host’s response bound fails the pass, and a file is downloaded once per 128 rows. Reports are retained 60 days after generation (30 for historical ones), so a start older than that reads nothing for those days. An Analytics answer names no channel, so the connection is its own identity namespace. The connection holds a youtube-analytics OAuth credential (youtubeAnalytics.credential, scope yt-analytics.readonly); setup names channelId (MINE for the credential’s own channel). The youtube-reporting connection holds the same credential kind with setup jobId; its identity is the job. Nothing here has run against YouTube or been qualified.
