Provider guidance

airbyte.connections.control({ sync? }) and airbyte.jobs.recent() observe one Airbyte workspace through the Airbyte API (/v1), selected by the binding’s workspace setup; the connection’s endpoint is https://api.airbyte.com or a self-managed https://<host>/api/public. Discovery lists the workspaces the credential can see. Airbyte runs every connector and owns its compute.

Connections: GET /v1/connections?workspaceIds=…&includeDeleted=true in one page of at most 100. A deprecated connection is Airbyte’s deletion and is published as one. A listing that states another page is refused: Airbyte’s continuation is an offset URL this recipe does not follow.
Jobs: each poll reads the 100 most recently updated jobs (orderBy=updatedAt|DESC). lastUpdatedAt is the job’s opaque version, so a job moving from running to succeeded publishes again. A job that falls off the page is not withdrawn, and a burst of more than 100 updates between polls can skip an intermediate state.
sync sends POST /v1/jobs with jobType: "sync". A 200 proves Airbyte created a job, not that it ran; a 409 (a sync already running) is a refusal. A job carries no caller identity, so a lost answer stays unknown.
Airbyte’s notification webhooks carry no signature or configurable header and are not admitted.

A succeeded job is the provider completion the destination-snapshot importer in packages/iceberg cites as its provider_run (job id, startTime and lastUpdatedAt), capturing the destination snapshot committed inside that run. Bind an airbyte credential: a bearer token, or an oauth_client_credentials envelope for /v1/applications/token, with allowed_resource_origins naming the endpoint origin.
