# Interface: SealedResults<Schema>

> Kept answer custody, independent of a run's lifetime.

[server](https://docs.bijection.com/api/modules/server).SealedResults

Kept answer custody, independent of a run's lifetime.

## Type parameters

| Name | Type |
| :- | :- |
| `Schema` | extends [`GenericSchema`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/modules/server#genericschema) = [`GenericSchema`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/modules/server#genericschema) |

## Methods

### keep

▸ **keep**\<`Row`>(`result`, `options`): `Promise`\<[`KeptResult`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/interfaces/server.KeptResult)>

Keep a ready result: the engine writes its complete rows as one CSV
file of this component, of `columns` (exactly the result's columns,
values of the declared types), and records a kept answer attesting the
execution that produced it, held by `holder` (an installed component
such as `components.datasets`, or this component), in one commit. The
kept answer retains its file until its holder ends it; the holder's
worker reads it through `results.deliver`. `from` names every source this
program permits keeping. Requires the caller's current read of the
result and its sources' consent to the holder's custody. A holder's
`request_id` holds one kept result: repeating the same keep returns it.
The execution itself is unchanged.

#### Parameters

| Name | Type |
| :- | :- |
| `result` | [`ResultRef`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/modules/computations#resultref)\<`Row`, `"dataset"`> |
| `options` | `Object` |
| `options.claim?` | [`ResultHold`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/modules/server#resulthold) |
| `options.request_id` | `string` |
| `options.holder?` | `object` |
| `options.columns` | [`ResultColumn`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/interfaces/server.ResultColumn)\[] |
| `options.from` | readonly `string`\[] |

#### Returns

`Promise`\<[`KeptResult`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/interfaces/server.KeptResult)>

***

### inspect

▸ **inspect**(`id`): `Promise`\<[`KeptResult`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/interfaces/server.KeptResult)>

A kept answer this component holds or kept, read under its file's
current source authority. Refused alike for an unknown answer, another
component's and one whose sources the caller may not read.

#### Parameters

| Name | Type |
| :- | :- |
| `id` | [`KeptResultRef`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/modules/server#keptresultref) |

#### Returns

`Promise`\<[`KeptResult`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/interfaces/server.KeptResult)>

***

### open

▸ **open**(`id`): `Promise`\<[`KeptResultReader`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/interfaces/server.KeptResultReader)>

Open a kept answer this component kept: resolves its record under the
file's current source authority, then reads its bytes through the
ordinary protected-file read. `await using reader = await
queryArtifacts.open(ctx, id)`.

#### Parameters

| Name | Type |
| :- | :- |
| `id` | [`KeptResultRef`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/modules/server#keptresultref) |

#### Returns

`Promise`\<[`KeptResultReader`](https://docs.bijection.com/api/interfaces/server.KeptResultReader)>
