# Class: FilterExpression<T>

> Expressions are evaluated to produce a Value in the course of executing a query.

Expressions are evaluated to produce a [Value](/api/modules/values#value) in the course of executing a query.

To construct an expression, use the [VectorFilterBuilder](/api/interfaces/server.VectorFilterBuilder) provided within
[VectorSearchQuery](/api/interfaces/server.VectorSearchQuery).
